Help with Browser Basics

EXPLANATION OF PAGE

The Post-Secondary Transition Plan - Education Page allows for the creation and/or selection of

  • Anticipated Graduation Status (drop down list)
  • Desired Outcomes (use the checkboxes for lists; use the text field to create custom outcomes)
  • Special Service Needs (checkbox)
  • Special Instructional Needs (checkbox)
  • Community Experience Needs (checkbox)
  • Justification text areas if Needs do not apply (text field)

    • DETAILED PAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Click on the Details Button to the right of the Post-Secondary Education Area.
  • You will be taken to the Post-Secondary Education Transition Plan Page.
  • You may enter the Anticipated Graduation Status by clicking on the arrow in the dropdown box, scrolling to the desired status, and clicking on it.
  • You may select one or more Desired Outcome(s) by clicking on the checkbox to the left of the outcome.
  • Custom Outcomes may be entered by typing data in the text field under the "Others" column.
  • You must indicate if the student requires Special Services, Special Instruction, and/or Community Experience by clicking on the appropriate checkbox.
  • You must enter a justification if any of these are NOT checked by typing the justification into the appropriate text box.
  • If not, an error will be generated.
  • Click on the Update the Database Button when complete>
  • You will be returned to the Transition Plan
    • Page.

    This information may be included in the Transition Plan section of the IEP document or may be included in any other documents and/or reports.

    The selection of information to be included on the IEP and other documents, its location, and format may be specified by the School System.

    WARNING

    No information (data) will be entered into the database unless the Update Database Button has been clicked after you have entered your data on the page.
